PREVIOUS LESSON – PERFORMING PHYSICAL FITNESS EXERCISES (PRIMARY 4)
TOPIC: IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to list the importance of physical fitness.
The pupils are required to already have learned to physical fitness exercises.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of charts.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
Physical fitness is very important in life. Some of its benefits are listed below.

6. Reduce your risk of injury
7. Increase your life expectancy
8. Promotion of general health
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1.To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Explains the importance of physical fitness.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher’s explanation. Contribute to class discussion.
Pupils to mention the importance of physical fitness.
