TOPIC: Baking Method of Baking Sausage Rolling 

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:

  1. Discuss the process of baking method of baking sausage rolls.
  2.  baking sausage rolls using baking method.

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils are required to already learned shallow frying method of cooking eggs.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON 

PREPARING BAKING SAUSAGE ROLLS USING BAKING METHOD 

Ingredients – flour, margarine, water, slat, sausage meat.

METHOD 

  1. Clean baking tray and grease lightly.
  2. Measure all ingredients and keep separately.
  3. Put flour into a mixing bowl.
  4. Add salt to the flour.
  5. Rub the fat to the flour.
  6. Mix to pastry
  7. Sprinkle floor lightly on the table.
  8. Knead the pastry to get it smooth.
  9. Shape into oblong and roll it.
  10. Cut into equal pieces.
  11. Place equal quantities of sausage meat on each piece.
  12. Wet the edges of pastry and roll it over the sausage.
  13. Place the roll on the baking tray.
  14. Bake for 15 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  15. Remove from the oven and tray.
  16. Serve hot or cool with soft drink or water.

  • To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
  1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
  2. Guides discussion on baking methods of cooking. 
  3. Pupil’s Activities – Participate in the discussions.
  4.  Demonstrates baking method of baking sausage rolls.
  5. Pupil’s Activities – Practice baking method of baking sausage rolls.
  6.  Supervises pupils practicals.
  7. Gives a board summary.

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson – revision and examination.
