TOPIC – Dictation of Suicide Passages

 

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

write down a dictated passage correctly.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

DICTATION OF SUITABLE PASSAGES 

Dictate for the pupils –

The prettiest girl at the party was the one who wore a pair of black shoes, an orange dress, carrying a small handbag. 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Selects an appropriate passage for dictation. This passage may preferable be from one of those used for comprehension exercises from course book.

Pupil’s Activities – Spell words given by the teacher.

3. Dictates the passage – listen to individual pupil’s utterances.

Pupil’s Activities – Write down a dictated passage correctly.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
