CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

A room is a space occupied in a house. A room is one of the separate parts of the inside of a house. Different rooms have different facilities based on their uses.

There are many rooms in a house which serves different purpose.

1. Sitting room

2. Bedroom

3. Dining room

4. Kitchen

5. Food store

6. Bathroom

7. Toilet

 

USES OF SITTING ROOM AND BEDROOM

1. It is used for welcoming our guests.

2. It is used for entertainment.

3. It is used for relaxation.

 

USES OF BEDROOM 

1. It is used for resting.

2. It is used for resting.

3. It is used for dressing up.

3. It is used for keeping and safeguarding our personal belongings.

 

USES OF FOOD STORE 

1. It is used for keeping our food items.

2. It is used to keeping pests and Insects away from our foodstuffs.

3. It is used for keeping our foodstuffs from food diseases.

4. It is used for keeping our kitchen tools and equipments.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Presents pictures or charts of various rooms in a house.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the various rooms in a house with the help of a teacher.

3.Presents another picture showing various uses of the room.

Pupil’s Activities – Give examples using their own homes.

4. Summary the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
