The pupils can identify and describe paper craft.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of sample or chart school paper craft and needed to make paper craft.

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

Craft is the making useful things by hands. When you make things with your hands, they are called craft. We use our hands to make different crafts.

There are three (3) types of crafts. Paper craft is one them. Others are fabric, woven, flower, leatherwork, ceramic, glass, etc.

MEANING OF PAPER CRAFT 

Paper craft is a hand crafts made with paper.  They are beautiful objects made from paper.

EXAMPLES OF PAPER CRAFT 

The following are objects that can be made with papers,

1. Aeroplane

2. Kite

3. Mat

4. Boat

5. Hand fan

MATERIALS FOR MAKING PAPER CRAFTS 

The following materials are used for making paper crafts –

1. Paper

2. Scissors

3. Knife

4. Gum

5. Crayon

6. Blade

7. Pencil

8. Eraser

9. Needle

10. Thread, and

11. Starch

LESSON 2 – MAKING OF HAND CRAFT 

Procedures for making Hand Fan Craft 

1. Take one sheet of paper.

You may use more than one sheet of paper if you want to make a bigger fan.

2. Fold pleats into sheet of paper at the ends.

Pleats should be about 1/2 inch wide.

3. Tie string at the bottom to secure your fan.

 USES PAPER CRAFT 

1. Paper crafts are used for making decorations.

2. Paper crafts are used for plan.

3. Paper craft are used for making masks.

4. Paper crafts are used for making toys.

5. Paper crafts are used for making greeting cards.

6. Paper crafts are used for making boxes like cartons.

7. Paper crafts are used for classroom instructional materials.

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST) 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher organized the pupils into groups depending on the size of the class.

3. Teacher displays sample of paper crafts or chart showing paper crafts for the pupils as groups to identify and how to make them.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils identify and demonstrate how to make crafts with papers.

4. Teacher uses sample or chart and the pupil’s relevant responses to introduce the lesson and leads a discussion on the meaning and examples of paper crafts.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively in the class discussion on the meaning and examples of paper crafts.

5. Teacher leads and guides the pupils as groups to make paper crafts of their choice.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils follow the teacher’s guidelines to make a crafts with Paper.

6. Teacher uses the chart showing the uses of paper crafts to guide the pupils to state their uses.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils analyze the uses of paper crafts at home, in the school and their communities.

7. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board using appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the lesson summary by responding correctly to most of the questions and write as instructed.

CONCLUSION

• To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
