PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to mention some of the gains of obeying rules and regulations.

The pupils can state the rewards for obedient.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Pictures of children receiving gift.

2. Video clips

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

Rules and regulations are the Do’s and Don’ts that guide the social behavior. If you are obedient child, people will like and give you a lot of gifts or praise. But if you are a disobedient child, people will not like you.

 

REWARDS/GAINS OF OBEYING RULES AND REGULATIONS

Do you want people to give you gifts or praise? If yes, be an obedient child, because

1. Obedient child always receive prizes from the teachers and the school.

2. Obedient child gets awards during prize giving ceremony.

3. Obedient child always be the school prefect and class captain.

4. Obedient child gets promoted to the next class.

5. Obedient child always gets recommendation letter.

6. Obedient child gets praise, favour or approval from the teachers.

7. Obedient child is always trusted by the teachers and the child.

8. The teachers and the school always proud of obedient child.

 

LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT TEST 

As stated the lesson objectives or evaluation. 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher displays chart showing pictures or video clips of children receiving gifts.

3. Teacher allows the pupils to identify and discuss the reasons why the children recieved gifts.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils state some of the reasons why the children are receiving gifts.

4. Teacher uses the chart or video and the pupils relevant responses to introduce the lesson and leads a class discussion on the gains of obeying the rules and regulations.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively in the class discussion on gains of obeying the rules and regulations.

5. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board by using the lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the summary of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the questions and write as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
