PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

produce common articles made by knitting and crocheting

Sewing tools

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Sewing, knitting and crocheting tools and materials e.g. pins, wools, threads (assorted colours).

2. Knitted sweater, crocheted articles e.g. table mats, head band.

3. Books on sewing, knitting and crocheting.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

3. Different between knitting and crocheting methods of needle crafts.

LESSON TWO – EVALUATION

PRACTICAL WORKS ON COMMON ARTICLES

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Use the tools to produce simple article e.g. cap, bag, belt, etc.

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays some of the common articles of needle craft.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify some of the common articles of needle craft.

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Use the tools to produce simple article e.g. cap, bag, belt, etc.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.

Pupils to:
