INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Takes the pupils outside the classroom within the school’s compound to identify and describe different types of flower.

Names some of the flowers identify by the pupils and display chart of other types of flowers.

 

MEANING OF FLOWERING PLANTS 

Flowering plants are any plants that produce flowers.

 

TYPES OF FLOWERING PLANTS 

1. Hibiscus flower

2. Sun flower

3 Rose flower

4 Tulip flower

 

PARTS OF FLOWERING PLANTS 

A flowering plant consists of the

1. Root

2. Stem

3. Leaves

4. Flowers.

 

USES OF FLOWERING PLANTS 

Flowering plants are used for –

1. Beautification

2. Decoration

3. Express love and feelings

4. Drugs

5. Perfumes

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Shows examples of flowers in the environment.
