CONTENT OF THE LESSON
MEANING OF CHOREOGRAPHY
Choreography is the art of making and arrangement of dances.
PRINCIPLES OF CHOREOGRAPHY
1. Order
2. Beauty
3. Variety
4. Timely
5. Space
6. Energy
MEANING OF CHOREOGRAPHER
Choreographer is a theatre artist who creates, arranges dances, teaches dancers to perform a dance to the delight of an audience.
PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION
Training and presentation of choreographed dance with music or other tools.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the students some questions; then, the teacher –
2. Explains the terms ‘choreography’ and ‘choreographer’.
Student’s Activities – Listen to teachers explanation and take down notes.
3. Explains some principles of choreography.
4. Leads the class in performing a choreographed dance using music or any other tool.
Student’s Activities – Participate in class dance and choreography session.
5. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
