LEARNING OUTCOME 

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1. State the different between living and non living things.

2. Give 5 examples to support explanation in (1).

3. Identify change that occurred in non living things.

4. Describe the change in non living things.

 

RATIONALE

There are two types of change – permanent and temporary change. Change in living and non living things can be either permanent or temporary.

The concept of change in non living things will enable the pupils to understand that things around us are not always the same.

 

 

LEARNING MATERIALS 

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

Mould

Irons

Candle wax

Butter

Paper

Wood

 

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE

The pupils can distinguish between permanent and temporary changes that occurred in some living and non living things.
