PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

describe computer as IPO to display information or data – Output.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Computer System

2. Charts/Pictures.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON 

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION

COMPUTER AS IPO SYSTEM 

IPO system means Input, Processes and Output. This means putting data into the system, doing something with the data and then displaying the results.

 

OOutput – Examples of out are as follows:

  • Monitors
  • Printer
  • Speakers

 

These devices display the results on the monitor and print as hard copy.

 

LESSON TWO – WEEKLY ASSESSMENT – PRACTICAL WORK – Pupil’s/Teacher’s Activities 

Produce results as information through the output devices.

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

Describes computer as IPO – Output.

2. Pupil’s Activities – Describes computer as IPO – Output.

3. Gives examples of output devices – monitor, speakers, and printers  etc.

CONCLUSION
