The pupils know how to boil water and keep water in a clean container.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of stove, alum, filter, etc.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Display stove, filter and alum for the pupils to identify and state their uses.

Pupil’s Activities – This is a stove. It is used for cooking foods, boiling water, frying, etc. Filter is used for removing dirty from a content. Alum is used for cooking.

 

 

Teacher’s Remarks – Correct. Stove can be used for making things as you have mentioned. One clap cheer for yourself. Stove can be used for boiling water.

  • Boiling water before use is one of the ways to make water clean.
  • Filter is also used to remove particles from water.

Today, we are going to learn how to make water clean.

 

HOW/WAYS TO MAKE WATER CLEAN

There are many ways of making water clean, some of them are –

1. By boiling

2. Adding alum

3. Filtering

4. Add chlorine

5. Adding water guard

 

LESSON 2 – PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION 

Guide the pupils to demonstrate how to make water clean and safe for use.

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Leads pupils to identify and state ways to make water clean.

3. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
