By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. define humidity.

2. state reasons why people should be humble.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

Charts showing people with and without pride.

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON 

INTRODUCTION

MEANING OF HUMILITY 

Humility is the state of being humble. To be humble is to be without pride.

REASONS WHY PEOPLE SHOULD BE HUMBLE 

1. It enables people to learn.

2. It strengthens people.

3. It gives people power to lead and stays focused.

4. It gives people self control.

5. It makes people accountable.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Explains the meaning of humility.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to teacher’s explanation.

3. Discusses reasons why people should be humble.

Pupil’s Activities – State reasons why people should be humble.

4. Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Practical demonstration on why to be humble.

CONCLUSION

• To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
