Recreation is the after work sporting activities or free time activity that for pressure, fitness enhancement or enjoyment.
People choose the activities that good for their health, refresh their body and mind, making their leisure time more interesting a e enjoyable.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The following are examples of recreation activities,
- Playing music and dancing
- Watching television or video
- Jogging
- Horse riding
- Cycling
- Drawing and painting
- Reading and writing for pressure
- Fishing
- Hurtling wild animals
- Playing cards, ludo, etc.
- Singing
IMPORTANCE OF RECREATION
The importance of recreation are as follows:
1. It unites family.
2. It reduces stress.
3. It improves life quality.
4. It promotes healthy quality.
5. It creates room for friendship.
6. It enhances friendship skills.
7. It builds self esteem.
8. It reduces boredom.
9. It creates room for enjoyment.
10. It protects the environment.

13. It creates space to feel and enjoy nature.

There are two (2) components of recreational activities,
1. Indoor reactions
2. Outdoor recreational
INDOOR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Indoor recreational activities are physical activities that are carried out inside the house, hall, classroom or any place under the roof.
Examples of indoor activities are as follows:
- Playing music
- Drawing and painting
- Sewing
- Watching television
- Playing of indoor games such as cards, Ludo, Scrabble and Chess
- Reading or writing for pleasure, dancing
- Singing
- Clubbing
OUTDOOR OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Outdoor recreational activities are physical activities that take place in a natural setting.
Examples of outdoor activities are as follows:
- Walking
- Jogging
- Playing outdoor games
- Swimming
- Cycling
- Fishing
- Camping
- Picnicking
- Gardening
- Canoeing
- Horse riding
- Hiking
- River rafting
- Mountaineering
