PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. say what ways Jesus is with us.

2. Recite the memory verse, Mathew 28:20

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION 

Reading Mathew 28 : 20

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

 

 

WAYS TO SHOW THAT JESUS IS PRESENT WITH US 

1. He is with us – Mathew 28 :20.

2. He abide with us – John 15 : 1 – 7

 

4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

3. In the celebration of the Holy Communion – John 6 : 54 – 56

 

54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

 

4. In His name – John 15 : 7

 

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

 

5. In His promises – Act 1 : 8

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

 

6. In His word – John 5 : 5 – 7

 

5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirteight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Reads the Bible passages in column with the pupils.

3. Summarizes and explains the passage.
