4. mention materials used for cleaning.

5. clean the class surfaces.

The pupils can describe cleaning.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Chart showing different types of surfaces.

2. Cleaning materials.

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

Surface is the top layer of an area. For example, mud surface, wooden surface, and concrete surface.

 

TYPES OF SURFACE

1. Mud Surface

2. Concrete Surface

3. Wooden Surface

 

PRACTICAL WORK ON CLEANING THE CLASSROOM SURFACE 

Engage all the pupils on practical cleaning of classroom surfaces.

 

LESSON 2 – TOOLS FOR CLEANING

Cleaning is the removal unwanted substances, such as dirt, infectious agents, and other impurities, from an object or environment.

Materials needed for practical cleaning of classroom surfaces –

1. Long and short broom

2. Mob or clean rag

4. Soap and water

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Lets the pupils identify all the materials needed for cleaning.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify all the materials needed for cleaning.

3. Engages all the pupils on practical cleaning of the classroom surface.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate in the cleaning of the classroom surface.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
