By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. explain the meaning of honesty.

2. state the importance of telling the truth.

3. explain the meaning of dishonesty.

4. discuss the consequences of dishonesty.

5. state the rewards for honesty.

6. mention the punishments for dishonesty.

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

Honesty is the act of being truthful to one another in all things.

It is the ability to tell tye truth at all times.

 

 

IMPORTANCE OF TELLING THE TRUTH 

The importance of telling the truth are as follows;

1. Honesty builds faith and confidence.

2. Honesty enables you to earn people trust and respect.

3. Honesty enables people to be free with one another.

4. Honesty gives you control over other people.

5. Honesty reliefs one’s stress.

 

 

REWARDS FOR HONESTY

The rewards for honesty are as follows:

1. Prizes

2. Scholarships

3. Praises

4. Recommendations

5. Promotion

6. People’s respect, trust, support, etc.

 

 

LESSON 2 – DISHONESTY

Dishonesty is the inability to tell the truth. Vv

 

 

CONSEQUENCES OF DISHONESTY 

The consequences of dishonesty are as follows:

1. Punishment

4. Embarrassment or disgrace

5. Disrespect

6. Loneliness

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the students some questions;

2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class and available instructional materials.

3. Teacher asks pupils to differentiate between rewards and punishment.

4. Teacher listens to the pupils and uses their relevant responses to introduce the lesson.
