CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Display functional computer system or chart showing different parts of computer system and lead the pupils to identify each part of the computer system and group the parts as input and output devices.

Pupil’s response – Follow the teacher’s lead to identify input and output devices.

Teacher’s remark – Input and output devices are important parts of computer system used for sending and receiving data or information to/from the computer system. Give a great cheer for active participation and discuss the meaning of Input devices.

MEANING OF INPUT DEVICE

Input devices are parts of the computer used to send data (information) and commands into computer system, e.g. keyword, mouse, etc.

LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays a functional computer system or chart showing computer system.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify computer system.

3. Groups each part of the computer as input and output devices.

Pupil’s Activities – Inspect all the inputs devices and make a distinctive between input and output devices.

4. Discuss the meaning of Input Devices with appropriate examples.

Pupil’s Activities – Active participation in the discussion.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
