By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION 

Mending means repairing  the faulty parts of something. Mending of clothing is stitching torn clothing, replacing buttons and stain on parts of the clothing, or dyeing.

 

 

IMPORTANCE OF MENDING OF CLOTHING

1. It is free.

2. It saves cost.

3. It retains your favorite wears.

4. It improves your hand stitching techniques.

 

PRACTICAL WORK – MENDING OF CLOTHING 

Teacher’s Activities – Guides and allows pupils to:

1. Replace lost button.

2. Remove stains from clothing

3. Dye faded clothing.

 

LESSON TWO – REVISION AND WEEK 9 LESSON ASSESSMENT 

As stated in performance objectives or demonstrate how to mend clothing. 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Lets pupils identity some clothing that needs amendment.

Pupil’s Activities – Identity some clothing that needs amendment.

3. Guides and allows pupils to amend some faulty clothing.

Pupil’s Activities – Amend some faulty clothing.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
