CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTERNATIONAL CONFLICT 

Organization is an organized group of people, business or government with a particular purpose.

Group of people, business or government disagrees to agree in many issues.

The disagreement between group of people, business, government countries is know as conflict.

Conflict is disagreement among a group or groups of people over any matter.

The disagreement between countries is known as international conflict.

 

MEANING OF INTERNATIONAL CONFLICT 

International conflict is a quarrel between nations or organization of people from different countries.

It is lack of agreement that lead to quarrel between nations over any matter.

Examples of international conflicts are conflicts between Russia and Ukraine Conflict (2022), U.S. and the Taliban in Afghanistan (2021), India and Pakistan (1947), etc.

 

CAUSES OF INTERNATIONAL CONFLICT

The causes of international conflict are as follows:

1. Boundary dispute

2. Economic rivalry

3. Political rivalry

4. Military rivalry

5. Aggression

6. Poor relationships

7. New technologies or weapons

8. New discovery

 

 

LESSON 2 – CONTROLLING/AVOIDING INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS AMONG COUNTRIES 

International conflict between organized group of people, business, government from countries can be avoid or control as follows:

1. Tolerance

2. Understanding each other

3. Concern for others

4. Honesty

5. Sincerity, etc.

 

 

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher displays chart showing war’s weapons.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the weapon on the chart and state other weapons used during the war.

3. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs to identify each weapon and state when they can be used.

Pupil’s Activities – State where some of the can be used, for example – during war between country or external invasion.

4. Teacher uses pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson – International Conflict.

Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of international conflict.

5. Teacher leads a discussion on the meaning and causes of international conflict with appropriate examples – 2022 Russian Ukraine Conflict.

Pupil’s Activities – Explain the meaning of international conflict and state the causes.

6. Teacher guides pupils to identify and discuss various values that can help discourage international conflict in the world.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the discussion and state different values that can help discourage international conflict.

7. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the lesson summary and write as instructed.
