PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. explain the meaning of moderation.

2. explain why we should exercise moderation in all we do.

3. describe ways Christians should exercise moderation.

 

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can state moderation life of Christians.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of Pictures or Illustrations depicting indecent dressing, smokers, drunks, etc.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

The Christian life is the life of repentance, faith, and good works lived through the power of the Spirit and with the help of the means of grace as the Christian is conformed to the image of Christ to the glory of God.

 

 

MEANING OF MODERATION 

Moderation is way of doing something within reasonable limits:

For example, eating foods in moderation is a key to maintaining a healthy diet. Our actions, feelings and habits within reasonable limits.

 

 

WAYS CHRISTIANS SHOULD EXERCISE MODERATION 

 1. What we eat and drinking.
