PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. smile and learn.

2. play and count numbers 5 – 1.

3. sing sing or imitate rhymes on counting numbers 5 – 1.

The children can sing 1 – 5 songs.

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Engage the children to play toys having numbers label. While play sing songs or recite rhymes on numbers 5 – 1.

Pupil’s Expected Response – Play with toys and repeat the songs or recite rhymes on reverse numbers 5 – 1.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Makes children to play toys having numbers label. While play sing songs or recite rhymes on reverse numbers 5 – 1.

Pupil’s Activities – Play with toys, imitate the teacher as he/she’s singing.

Leads children in counting familiar toys.

Pupil’s Activities – Follow the teacher’s leading in counting.

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
