The pupils can identify different parts of computer.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

A computer is a device used for working on information.

The information can be numbers, words, pictures, movies, or sounds.

 

 

MEANING OF COMPUTER WORKSTATION

A computer workstation is an office with special computer designed a professional tank or specific job.

It is a new work area to work by one person at a time.

 

 

PROCEDURE FOR SETTING UP A WORKSTATION

1. Choose a suitable office or workspace.

2. Get appropriate computer furnitures.

3. Unpack the computer.

4. Connect each part of the computer together.

 

 

LESSON 2 – PRACTICE ON HOW TO SETUP COMPUTER WORKSTATION 

Take a sample from computer room to demonstrate how to setup a computer workstation as state in lesson 1.

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps – he/she,

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or experience.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in lesson review.

2. Displays a functional computer (if available) or chart showing computer.

3. Lets the pupils identify different parts of the computer and describe as electronic device.

4. Displays chart showing a workstation.

5. Allows pupils to examine the chart and describe.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the office, computer, furniture and the profession.

6. Uses the pupils responses to introduce the lesson and leads a discussion on the meaning of workstation.

Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction and explain the meaning of computer workstation.

7. Lists and explains the procedure of setting up a computer workstation.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the explanation and state the procedure of setting up a computer workstation.

8. Guides pupils to setup a workstation using sample from computer room or lab.

Pupil’s Activities – Demonstrate how to setup a computer workstation.
