LEARNING OUTCOME 

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1. state sources of energy.

2. state the importance (uses) of energy conversions.

 

 

RATIONALE

Energy is the fundamental need of our everyday life. So much so, that the quality of life and even its sustenance, is dependent on the availability of energy. The Law of conservation of energy even tells us that the only thing that takes place with energy is the transformation from one form to another.

In this lesson, pupils will be able to understand and appreciate the importance energy through the idea of energy transformations and conversions.

 

 

LEARNING MATERIALS 

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

Electric pressing iron

Immersion heater (boiling ring)

Kerosene Stove.

Charcoal Pressing iron

Bicycle Dynamo

 

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE

Energy is the ability to do work. The more energy, the more power. Pupils have ideas various energy such solar, electric, chemical (kerosene or gas) sound, etc.
