PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and be able to –

identify solutions to each problems of agriculture.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

Increases in agricultural products in the market.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of –

charts of problems of agriculture and their solutions

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

Copy as I write or draw as I need. This instruction should be given when you need the pupils to write or draw. 

 

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Review all the problems of agriculture as discussed in the last two lessons, leads the pupils to identify and state the possible solutions for each problem. For example, if there is no rain and we need rain water to plant, what is the possible solution to this problem?

Pupil’s Activities – Probably, they will mention water from the well, river, etc. for planting – IRRIGATION.

Teacher’s remark – For every contribution, give a great cheer. Further engage in the same manner.

 

SOLUTION TO PROBLEMS OF AGRICULTURE 

1. Mechanization of agriculture

2. Educating farmers on the use of farm techniques

3. Use of modern storage facilities

 

 

4. Construction of good road

5. Use of improve seed

6. Provision of medical facilities

7. Amendment of land tenure systems

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides pupils to identify solutions to the problems of agriculture;

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the problems of agriculture and their solutions.

3. Summary the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Write as the teacher write.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
