By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. explain the word – inspiration.

2. discuss how the Holy Spirit inspires us.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

Inspiration is the enable power to do what we think we cannot do.

It is also the power to do what we want to do (good, honest, truthful, etc.) and to stop what we don’t want to do anymore (bad, evil, lying, stealing, etc.).

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

 

 

HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRES US? 

1. He talks about himself.

2. He reveals the will of God.

3. He teaches us how to pray.

4. He discerns the false spirits.

5. He serves as our counselor and advocate.

 

 

LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays a chart showing I can do all things/with God, all things are possible.

3. Asks pupils to read aloud. Lets them repeated 5 times.

Pupil’s Activities – Repeat the statement.

4. Asks pupils to analyze the statement and say what it means.

Pupil’s Activities – Say what the statement means.

5. Uses pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson.

Pupils Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to participate actively in the discussion.

6. Leads a discussion on the meaning of inspiration.

Pupil’s Activities – Define inspiration.

7. Discuss how the Holy Spirit inspires us.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate in the discussion.

8. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the summary of the lesson and write as instructed.
