CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

Holy Spirit is the the spirit person promised by Jesus Christ to his true believers to guide.

John 16 : 8 

The work of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of our sin. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me. 

 

 

WHO THE HOLY SPIRIT IS? 

Holy Spirit is the the spirit person promised by Jesus Christ to his true believers to guide, comfort and counsel.

John 16:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The work of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of our sin. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

 

 

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE THIRD PERSON IN GOD’S HEAD 

Reading Matthew 28:19

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… 

 

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, mainly defined as:

“There is one God, eternally existent in three persons –

the Father,

the Son, and

the Holy Spirit.”

 

 

LESSON 2 – THE PURPOSE OF THE COMING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 

The purpose of the coming of the Holy Spirit is –

1. To fulfil the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2. To comfort us.

3. To teaches us how to pray.

4. To inspire us.

5. To discerns the false spirits.

6. To reveals the will of God.

 

 

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The importance of the Holy Spirit are –

1. He guides us into Jesus truth.

2. He directs our steps.

3. He gives spiritual gifts.

4. He gives us power to preach the gospel.

5. He gives us the assurance of heave.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Asks pupils to narrate the event of the day of pentecost.

Pupil’s Activities – Summary the event of the day of pentecost.

3. Uses pupil’s responses to introduce and discuss who the Holy Spirit is.

Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to participate actively the discussion.

4. Tells pupils about the Holy Spirit is the third person in God.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify and state the Holy Spirit is the third person in God.

5. Explains the significance of the Holy Spirit.
