LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

 

1. explain the meaning of moral.

2. state types of moral.

3. differentiate between good and bad morals.

4. list and demonstrate the values which show good morals, that’s, what is right.

 

 

LEARNING BEHAVIOURS 

The pupils can state and demonstrate good and bad morals.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of cartoons, posters, room film and video clip.

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

INTRODUCTION 

Moral is the principle of what is right and wrong in human behaviours.

 

TYPES OF MORAL

1. Good moral

2. Bad moral

 

MEANING OF GOOD MORAL

Good moral is a beliefs and values that are acceptable and safe for the society.

For example – truthful, obedience, respectful, etc.

To make our society safe, we must learn and demonstrate acceptable beliefs and values.

 

CHART SHORT A POEM ON GOOD AND BAD MORAL 

Morals are the ways people behave in a community.

Morals are the DO’s and DON’T that show us which actions are right and which are wrong. 

There are good and bad morals.

Good morals are good behaviour.

Bad morals are bad behaviour. 

 

LESSON 2 – VALUES THAT SHOW GOOD MORAL 

Values that show good moral are as follows:

1. Greetings

2. Respect

3. Kindness

4. Loyalty

5. Honesty

6. Tolerance

7. Commitment

8. Contentment, etc.

 

DRAMA/STORIES ON TWO OR MORE VALUES THAT SHOW GOOD MORAL IN OUR SOCIETY 

 

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST) 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class and available instructional materials. 

3. Teacher displays chart showing good moral in the society.

4. Teacher lets pupils in groups or pairs to identify, describe and demonstrate the good moral on the chart.

Pupil’s Activities – Learners describe and demonstrate how to greet the elders.

5. Teacher uses the pupil’s relevant responses to introduce the lesson.

Pupil’s Activities – Learners pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of good moral.

6. Teacher asks pupils to state other ways of showing good morals.

Pupil’s Activities – Learners state and demonstrate values that shows good moral.

7. Teacher leads the pupils as groups or pairs to discussion the meaning of good moral and state the value of good moral.

Pupil’s Activities – Learners analyze the importance of good moral in the society.

 

8. Teacher summarizes the lessons on the board using appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – Learners participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to questions correctly and write as instructed.

 

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
