By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. distinguish between the sounds /ɪə/ in beer and the sound /ęð/ in bare.

2. recognize the sounds in words.

3. draw the contrast between sounds when they use the words and

4. use them in correct sentences to bring out their.
