PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:

1. Recall the stunt activities;

2. Perform the stunts activities.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils are required to already have learned physical fitness.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Chart

2. Video

3. Mats

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION

Stunts are basic activities performed on the floor without the use of apparatus.

 

 

SINGLE STUNTS ACTIVITIES

Bent knee

 

 

Sit up

 

 

Frog jump

 

 

Crab walk

 

Cart wheel

 

 

Head stand

 

 

LESSON TWO – REVISION AND WEEK 2 LESSON ASSESSMENT (TEST) 

As stated in performance objectives or demonstrated by the pupils.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Explains the stunts.

3. Demonstrates the stunts.

Pupils’ activities – Listen and watch teacher’s demonstrations. Practice the different stunts.

4. Supervises pupils and make corrections.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson – recreation.
