Harmful traditional practices is the practice that bring physical, mental, social and health dangers, and damages to people most girls and women in the community or society.

  • Use of children for begging
  • Child agric labour
  • Female circumcision
  • Early marriages, etc.

 

3. Consequences of Harmful Traditional Practices

  • Problem at child birth
  • Exploitation of children
  • Deprivation of schooling, etc.

 

4. Preventing of Harmful Traditional Practices

  • Public Enlightenment through radio, television, newspapers, seminars, training and retraining.
