LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

  • Whole is a fisherman?
  • Who is crop planter?

 

WHO IS A FARMER? 

 

A farmer is one that works on the farms.

A farmer plants crops and rears animals.

 

EXAMPLES OF CROPS 

1. Yams

3. Beans

4. Cassava

5. Fruits and vegetables, etc.

 

LESSON 2 – EXAMPLES OF ANIMALS

1. Goats

2. Sheep

3. Cow

4. Chicken

5. Fish, etc.

 

MEANING OF AGRICULTURE 

Agriculture is planting of crops and rearing of animals for the benefits of man.

 

ASSIGNMENT

1. Find out 5 crops in your community.

2. Find out 5 animals in your community.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

 

2. Displays chart showing different crops and animals.

3. Lets pupils identify each of crop and animal.

4. Asks pupils to describe how we can grow crops and rear animals.
