CONTENTS OF THE LESSON

FOCUS LESSONS 

1. Meaning of Business Opportunities 

An opportunity is the ability to take advantage any situation.

For example, taking advantage of any opportunity that presents its in career, sport, market, Internet, politics, etc.

Business opportunity is the ability to take advantage of local, national or international market for business gain. 

 

2. Types Of Business Opportunities:

There are different types of business opportunities that are available at local, national and international levels.

Each one serves as the basis for important decisions that help businesses succeed.

 

Here are some examples,

1. NEW MARKET OPPORTUNITY 

A new market opportunity involves an untapped market, which gives businesses the chance to create and implement ideas and innovations without facing much competition.

 

2. UNTAPPED RESOURCE OPPORTUNITY 

An untapped resource opportunity is a type of business opportunity that involves underutilized or unexploited resources that can be used to create added value.

 

3. REPRESSED DEMAND OPPORTUNITY

A repressed demand opportunity capitalizes on existing demands that the current offerings don’t cater to.

For example, Uber capitalized on a repressed demand for an on-demand cab system in the existing cab industry.

 

4. TECHNOLOGY OPPORTUNITY

A technology opportunity is a type of business opportunity that allows businesses to introduce new technologies that can be used in existing markets.

 

5. COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITY 

A competitive opportunity allows businesses to introduce new products or services that can provide more value than their competitors while solving the problems of the target market better.

 

6. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY 

A strategic partnership opportunity involves the chance to collaborate with businesses from complementary industries, allowing them to access new resources, strengthen their product offerings, and increase their competitive advantage.

1. WILLPOWER 

Willpower is key to success. it is a strong longing to achieve success. Despite many failures, the entrepreneur never loses their will to achieve.

 

2. MANAGEMENT 

Management is the ability to make plans, devise targets, and then execute!

 

3. OBSESSION 

The entrepreneur who is obsessed with their goals and ultimate vision will make others believe in them too.

 

4. SMARTS 

An entrepreneur must have old-fashioned common sense and be able to make good decisions and deal competently with others.

 

5. SELF – ASSURANCE 

The entrepreneur is self-assured, confident in their abilities and knows how to look into the future and plan well. A self-assured person instills further confidence in themselves.

 

6. DEVOTION 

The entrepreneur is devoted to their goals, working long and hard, day and night to achieve them.

 

7. INSPIRATION 

Building a business requires an inspiration and the creativity which will lead to a better product and excellent results,. An entrepreneur thinks outside of the box.

 

8. FLEXIBILITY 

Creating a product that meets the needs of the market requires flexibility. This quality is very important. Stubborn, inflexible people will not make good entrepreneurs.
