PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. identify a drawn object.

2. colour a drawn object.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can read letter ABC and identify objects like book, pencil, chair, table, cup, etc. in class.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of –

1. Chart of a drawn object.

2. Different colour pen.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Display chart of a drawn object for the pupils to identify and say the name.

Pupil’s Activities – Television, Phone, Ball, etc.

Teacher’s Remark – Comments and give a great cheer for active participation. Open the pupil’s picture book and guide their hand to colour a drawn object.

 

LESSON 2 – COLOUR A DRAWN OBJECT 

Repeat the activities in lesson 1 with different objects. 

 

Note – Give the pupils appropriate colour pen and teacher’s active participation is required for them to do as expected. 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guide pupil’s hands to colour a drawn object like apple, cup, etc.

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
