CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON INTRODUCTION
COMPOSITION
Composition is the act of writing sentences or paragraphs to express your thoughts, ideas, or experiences clearly.
Example: Writing about yourself, your school, or your family.
COMPREHENSION
Comprehension is the ability to read, understand, and answer questions about a passage or text.
Example: Reading a story and answering questions about it.
DIFFERENT BETWEEN COMPOSITION AND COMPREHENSION
Composition is about writing your own ideas while Comprehension is about understanding what you read.

2. COMPOSITION ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Adewale. I am ten years old. I am a pupil in Primary 6. I attend Bright Future Primary School.
I live with my parents and my two younger siblings. My father is a teacher, and my mother is a trader. They take good care of me and support my education.
My favourite subject is English because I enjoy reading and writing. I also like Mathematics. In my free time, I play football and read storybooks.
I am a hardworking and respectful pupil. I always obey my teachers and elders. My ambition is to become a doctor in the future so that I can help sick people.
I love my school because my teachers are kind, and I have many friends. I am proud of myself and I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals.

3. COMPREHENSION ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Dúdúké and I am 8 years old. I stay in Ojo Local Government in Lagos State. I study at Award International School, Lekki. I am in primary and I love going to school everyday. My father name is Segun Michael and he works in school as class teacher. My mother is Michael Oluwakemi and she is a teacher too at Award International school.
My favourite subjects and English and Mathematics. I lot a lot of school game that help me to improve in my mental Mathematics skills. I love solving puzzle games.
Everyday when I return from school, I sit together with my dad to solve puzzle game from the newspapers. I love story books and colourful pictures in them.I like to watch cartoon and I like playing football with my classmate in the school. My younger brother Ayomide likes to disturb when I’m solving puzzle in newspapers. I inspire to be a teacher like my dad and mom.

LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions.
2. The teacher organizes the pupils into groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.
Pupils’ Activities: Each pupil belongs to a group.
3. The teacher gives each group a chart containing simple questions about “Myself” for the pupils to read, discuss, and share ideas among themselves and with the whole class.
Pupils’ Activities: The groups read and understand the contents of the chart and share their ideas with one another and the whole class.
4. The teacher uses the chart and the pupils’ responses to introduce the lesson and differentiate between composition on “Myself” and comprehension on “Myself.”
Pupils’ Activities: The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and understand the concepts of composition and comprehension.
5. The teacher guides the pupils on how to introduce themselves and write a well-organized composition.
Pupils’ Activities: The pupils follow the teacher’s guidelines to introduce themselves and write a composition about themselves.
6. The teacher leads a reading comprehension on “Myself” and guides the pupils to identify and understand the main ideas of the passage.
Pupils’ Activities: The pupils read and understand the main ideas of the passage and answer the comprehension questions correctly.
7. The teacher summarizes the lesson on the board and gives appropriate evaluation.
Pupils’ Activities: The pupils participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the questions as instructed.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
