PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. state the meaning of life drawing;

2. mention different parts of the body;

3. draw a full human figure.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils can draw and colour.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of Model, Drawing paper, Pencil, Artists donkey, Drawing board, Charts, Calendars, Chalk, Eraser

 

METHOD OF TEACHING 

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

Life drawing is the drawing of human beings or figure from observation (real world) of a living model (person).

 

DRAWING 1

Display chart showing human figure for the pupils to draw.

 

DRAWING OF MODEL PERSON

Model person to poses at the centre of class while pupils surround and draw from different sides.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the previous lesson or pupil’s knowledge.

2. Displays chart showing model personal.

3. Asks pupils to drawing the person on the chart.

Pupil’s Activities – Drawing the person on the chart.

4. Poses as a model person. Assists pupils to draw model.

Pupil’s Activities – Draw the model (person) before them.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
