SAMPLES: GIVING AN ACCOUNT OF PLACES OF INTEREST
1. A VISIT TO THE LOCAL MARKET
Last Saturday, I visited the local market with my mother. The market was very busy and crowded. Many traders were selling different goods such as food items, fruits, vegetables, clothes, and household materials.
I saw buyers moving from one shop to another to buy what they needed. My mother bought rice, tomatoes, fish, and vegetables. The traders were friendly and attended to customers politely.
The market was noisy because many people were talking, buying, and selling. I enjoyed the visit because I saw many things and learned how people trade in the market.
The visit taught me that the local market is an important place where people buy and sell goods for their daily needs.
2. A VISIT TO THE SUPERMARKET
Last weekend, I visited a supermarket with my father. The supermarket was large, clean, and well arranged. Different goods were neatly displayed on shelves.
I saw food items, drinks, toiletries, books, toys, and many other products. Customers pushed shopping trolleys around the supermarket while selecting the items they wanted to buy.
My father bought rice, milk, biscuits, soap, and fruit juice. After shopping, we went to the cashier to pay for the items. The cashier was polite and friendly.
I enjoyed the visit because the supermarket was neat and organized. The visit taught me how goods are displayed and sold in a modern shopping centre.
A VISIT TO IDANRE HILL
Last holiday, I visited Idanre Hill with my parents. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Nigeria.
When we arrived, I saw the beautiful rocky hills and the long staircase leading to the top. The environment was clean and attractive. As we climbed the steps, we enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful scenery around us.
At the top of the hill, I saw ancient buildings, old shrines, and other historical sites. Our guide told us about the history of the people who once lived there. I learned many interesting facts about the culture and traditions of the area.
The visit was exciting and educational. I enjoyed the beautiful view from the hill and took some photographs. It was a memorable experience, and I would love to visit the place again.
