MEANING AND STAGES OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Child development is the changes that occur in a child over a period of time. These changes covered the period from conception to an individual becoming a fully functioning adult.

The five stages of child development are as follows:

1. Newborn (0 – 3 months)

2. Infant (3 – 12 months)

3. Toddler (1 – 3 years)

4. Preschool age (3 – 4 years)

5. School age (4 – 5 years)

6. Adolescent Development

 

 

FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE CHILD DEVELOPMENT

1. Heredity

4. Exercise and Health

6. Family support and influence

CONDITIONS NECESSARY FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT

MEANING OF CONSUMER 

A consumer is a person who purchases goods and services for personal use.

 

RIGHTS OF THE CONSUMER 

Consumers are protected by the Consumer Bill of Rights. For example,

3. Right to safety

4. Right to be heard

5. Right to Seek redressal

6. Right to have problems corrected

7. Right to consumer education

8. Right to service

 

CHALLENGES OF THE CONSUMER 

1. Changing consumer demands

3. ​​Refund, replacement or repair

4. Repair damage after normal use

5. ​Shop breakages

6. Poor quality or incomplete work

7. ​​Delivery issues or late delivery

REDRESS OPTIONS FOR CONSUMERS 

Consumer redress is the right of all consumers to fully compensated for faulty or unsatisfactory goods and services. That’s, it is the right to full refund, replacement or repair at the time.

Consumer redress is the rights that protect the consumers.

 

PROCEDURE FOR SEEKING REDRESS

1. Report the faulty goods or unsatisfactory services immediately.

2. Request for a replacement or repair. This depends on the product’s terms and conditions.

3. If replacement or repair is still unsatisfied, make a request for refund.

4. Report to appropriate consumer protection agency if the 2 or 3 got no response.
