PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. state the reasons for cleaning the bedroom.
2. mention the materials used for cleaning the bedroom.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can clean the bedroom.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Brushes, dusters, brooms, (long and short broom).
2. Water
3. Soap and detergents.
4. Polish.
5. Dust pan.
6. Dust bin.
7. Mattress, pillow and cases, bed sheet, bed (improvised).
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 2 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Ask pupils to mention different parts of the house.
Pupil’s Activities – Sitting room, bedroom, etc.
Teacher’s remark – A great cheer for quick response. There are different rooms in a house. Bedroom is one of them. Ask the pupils to describe and guide them to state the reasons for cleaning the bedroom.
REASONS FOR CLEANING THE BEDROOM
Bedroom is a private that people for sleeping during or relaxing during the day. Cleaning the bedroom makes the bedroom to be –
1. Tidiness
2. Free flow of air.
3. Free from dust.
4. Conducive for rest and sleep.
LESSON 2 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Ask the pupils to state the materials used for cleaning the bedroom. Note their points on the board and discuss how each materials are used.
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CLEANING THE BEDROOM

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Guides pupils to state the reasons for the cleaning of the bedroom.
Pupil’s Activities – State reasons for the cleaning of the bedroom.
3. Provides all the cleaning materials and explain and how they are used.
Pupil’s Activities – Help in gathering materials for cleaning.
4. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
