2. outline the appropriate line in time of danger.
3. mention the right personnel to contact in danger.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
An important phone numbers are also known as emergency phone numbers. Emergency phone numbers are numbers that allow you to contact local emergency services such as local ambulance, fire department, police department, physician, etc. for assistance.
Most of the emergency phone numbers are most a three (3) digits number that can be easily remember and dial quickly. All emergency phone numbers are toll free. Some other emergency phone numbers are regular phone numbers and they are not free. Important phone numbers are used to prevent loss of life, reduce bodily injury, prevent or reduce loss of property, etc. as stated by local policy.
IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBER IN NIGERIA
The most common emergency number in Nigeria is 112. The number is for emergency assistance. It is considered abuse, if you call the number for another and misuse for accidentally.
FRSC emergency phone number – 122. The Nigeria emergency number can be dialed from any phone or landline in Nigeria. When you dial 112, you’ll be connected to the nearest emergency service.
USES OF IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBER IN NIGERIA
Important or emergency phone number in Nigeria is used to,
1. prevent loss of life
2. reduce or prevent injury
3. prevent or reduce loss of property
4. prevent spread of fire
5. rescue people from all forms of accident
6. evacuate people in case of other emergency
7. administer first aid, etc.

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups or pair depending on the size of the class.
3. Teacher asks the pupils these question, if you are home or somewhere alone and scare because of something happened, who are you going to call first? And if you are unable to reach your family and friends, who are you going to call next?
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils mention their parents, family and friends phone numbers.
4. Teacher uses the pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson and displays chart showing Nigerian important or emergency phone number.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of the lesson.
5. Teacher leads a class discussion on the meaning and uses of important phone numbers.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils explain the meaning and uses of emergency phone number in Nigeria.
6. Teacher guides the groups to state the emergency phone number in Nigeria.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils as a class itemize the emergency phone number.
7. Teacher display a chart showing the important phone numbers in the school.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils as a group mention their class teacher, head teacher and the school’s official phone numbers.
8. Teacher guides the pupils as groups on how to use important phone number in the case of emergency.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils brainstorm with the help of the teacher in listing the following:
- the headquarters of the Nigeria police,
- the telephone numbers of the control rooms 1 and 2,
- the e-mail address of the Nigerian police
9. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board with appropriate evaluation.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the questions write as instructed.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
