PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:
1. list three internet browsers.
2. create email address.
3. write valid email address.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
Internet connected computer lab or cyber cafe.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION
MEANING OF INTERNET BROWSERS
Internet browser is a software application used for finding and displaying Web pages.
There have been many different internet browsers as mentioned below:
1. Internet Explorer
2. Google chrome
3. Mozilla
4. Opera Mini
6. Firefox
7. PHX browser
LESSON TWO – CREATING EMAIL ACCOUNT
To create a Yahoo account:
- Open up your internet browser and go to the Yahoo home page: https://www.yahoo.com/
- Click on Mail at the top left corner of the page.
- You’ll now be in the `Sign In’ section. As you don’t have a Yahoo account yet, you need to Create Account.
- To set up your new account, Yahoo needs some information about you – first, your first and last name. The username is the unique email address that you wish to use, which will be placed before `yahoo.com’.
- If the email name that you requested is not available, you’ll get a message saying that the username is not available.
- Once you have successfully created email account, you will see the following message: CONGRATULATIONS
To create a Google account:
- Go to www.google.com.
- Locate and select the Sign in button in the top right corner of the page.
- Click Create an account.
- The sign up form will appear. Follow the directions by entering the required information, such as your name, birth date, and gender.
- Review Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, click the checkbox, then click Next step.
- Your account will be created, and the Google welcome page will appear.
Teacher’s Activities – Guides and allows the pupils to create either of the account.
LESSON THREE – WEEKLY ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Guides pupils to:
- create e-mail accounts,
- write valid samples of e- mail.
Pupil’s Activities – Visit a cyber cafe and do the following:
- create e-mail accounts,
- write valid samples of e- mail.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.

LESSON EVALUATION
Pupils to:
1. explain the term – internet browser.
2. list three (3) internet browsers.
