1. Record of students bio data, marks, score sheets, dice coins.

2. Chart of purposes of statistics.

3. Charts of information on drug abuse, voter education environmental education etc.

4. Usefulness of statistics for planning purposes.

5. Probability charts.

6. Charts of usefulness of statistics for prediction purposes.

 

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1. collect data in the class.

2. determine the mean, median and mode of a given set of data.

3. list purposes of statistics.

4. recognize the usefulness of statistics for planning purposes.

5. apply the occurrence of chance events/ application of probabilities in everyday life.

6. recognize the usefulness of statistics for production purposes.

4. introduces students to the meaning of population, drug abuse, voter education and environmental education.

5. leads students in discussing the usefulness of statistics for planning purposes.

6. leads students to discuss usefulness of the data collected from voter education, consumer education.

7. apply the probability or occurrence of chance events in everyday life.

8. leads students to discuss the usefulness of statistics such as from drug abuse, environmental education, HIV/AIDS etc. for prediction purposes.
