MEANING AND EXAMPLES OF GOOD HABITS
WHAT IS GOOD HABITS?
Good health habits are behaviors that are acceptable behaviours for personal health or healthy living. These behaviours are very important for the development of your physical or mental health.
WHAT ARE THE EXAMPLES OF GOOD HABITS?
1. Brush your teeth.
2. Taking your bath daily.
3. Eating good food.
4. Eating balanced diet.
5. Drinking good and clean water.
6. Exercise regularly. Hint – Cultivate the habit of regular exercise with the pupils for 5 – 10 minutes.
7. Take good rest.
8. Sleep well.
9. Wash your hand before and after eating.
10. Wash your hands after toilet.
11. Stay safe
12. Play safe
MEANING AND EXAMPLES OF BAD HABITS
WHAT IS A BAD HABITS?
Bad health habits are bad behaviour that affects our personal health.
WHAT ARE THE EXAMPLES OF BAD HABITS?
1. Not brushing the teeth.
2. Not taken bath daily.
3. Not eating good and balanced diet.
4. Not eating in time.
5. Not washing hands before and after eating.
6. Not taken good and clean water.
7. Long and dirty nails.
8. Bushy hair.
9. Rough play.
10. Not sleep well,
11. Head banging and head rolling
12. Teeth grinding
13. Eating nail
14. Nose picking
15. Sucking finger or thumb., etc.
LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver this lesson, the teacher reviews the previous lesson and adopts the following steps:
1. Teacher display chary showing a child with good and bad habits such as washing his/her teeth, eating good food, drinking good and clean water, eating finger, sucking thumb, etc.
2. Teacher points to the chart and lets the children identify and describe the activities of the child.
3. Teacher uses the chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson and explain the meaning of good and bad habits given appropriate examples.
4. Teacher summarizes the lesson by asking the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.
Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
