The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing different types of sharp objects.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION 

A sharp objects is any objects with sharp point or flat edge that is very thin and can easily cut.

 

SHARP OBJECTS WITH SHARP POINTS 

1. Nail

2. Staple pin

3. Safety pim

4. Office pin

5. Fork

 

SHARP OBJECTS WITH FLAT EDGE 

1. Blade

2. Knife

3. Cutlass

4. Axe

5. Scissor

6. Broken bottle

 

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH SHARP OBJECTS 

It is not good to play with sharp object because,

1. It can cause injury to the body.

2. It can leave permanent mark on the body.

3. It can disfigured part of the body.

4. It can cause death.

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she taught or what the pupils have learned.

2. Teacher displays chart showing different kinds of sharp objects.

3. Teacher lets the pupils examine and identify each of the sharp objects.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils identify sharp objects.

4. Teacher uses the chart and the pupils relevant responses to introduce the lesson – sharp objects.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction.

5. Teacher explain the meaning of sharp objects using appropriate examples.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils define sharp objects and give examples of sharp objects.

6. Teacher guides the pupils to state the reasons why they shouldn’t play with sharp objects.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils state the reasons why they shouldn’t play with sharp objects.

7. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board in a very simple sentence using appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary by responding correctly to the questions and write as instructed.
