Aural discrimination of the sounds:
1. /ɜ/ and /ʌ/
- burn – born
can burn this bush.
A new child is born.
- firm – form
The firm sent a form to me.

2. /ɔ/ and /ɔ:/
- cot – court
- spot – sport
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Reads the sentences containing the sounds.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to and repeat after the teacher.
3. Distinguishes between the sounds.
Pupil’s Activities – Distinguish between the sounds.
4. Pronounces the words paying attention to the stress and intonation.
Pupil’s Activities – Pronounce the words.
5. Asks pupils to repeat after him.
