CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Asks pupils to state different parts of the home, notes their points on the board. Based on the chart below, asks them to describe different types of toilets and bathrooms.
TYPES OF TOILETS AND BATHROOMS
1. Pit latrine toilet
2. Bucket toilet
3. Water system
REASONS FOR CLEANING TOILETS AND BATHROOMS
1. For easy usage.
2. To prevent accidents in the toilet or bathroom.
3. To prevent the floor from slippery.
4. To prevent germs, insects and diseases.
5. To prevent bad odour.
MATERIALS FOR CLEANING TOILETS AND BATHROOMS
1. Brushes (long and short)
2. Brooms(long and short)
3. Duster
4. Soap
5. sponge
6. Detergent
7. Dust pan
8. Disinfectant, etc.
TOILET CLEANING TECHNIQUES
1. Flush the toilet after use.
2. Wash your hands after using the toilet.
3. Wash the toilet regularly.
4. Always close the door of the toilet.
BATHROOM CLEANING TECHNIQUES
1. Clean the bathroom mirror.
2. Don’t allow water log after bath.
3. Put your toothbrush in its position.
4. Sweep your bathroom.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Discusses reasons for cleaning toilets and bathrooms.
3. Demonstrates how to clean toilets and bathrooms.
