TOPIC: RHYTHM PATTERN 

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:

1. state the meaning of rhythm.

3. mention the types of rhythm.

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils are required to already have learned rhythmic activities.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

RHYTHM is a music. A strong, regular repeated pattern of sound according to choose time.

TYPES OF RHYTHMS 

Simple rhythm is a time signature that can be divided into two part of rhythm.

 

Compound rhythm is a time signature that can be divided into 3 part of rhythm.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Explains the concept rhythm – movement of any piece of music.

Pupil’s Activities –  Explain the term ”rhythm”.

3. Lists the different types of rhythm patterns –  simple rhythm and compound rhythms.

Pupil’s Activities – Mention types of rhythms pattern.

CONCLUSION

• To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
