1. Teacher displays flashcards 0 – 9 to lead the children to identify numbers from 0 to 9. Also, to count numbers from 1 – 10.

Pupil’s Activities – The children identify the numbers from 0 – 9.

2. Teacher uses the flashcard with a good rhyme to lead and form numbers up to 20.

Pupil’s Activities – The children follow the rhyme to form numbers from 11 – 40.

3. Teacher displays chart showing 1 – 40 to the children to identify and count up to 40.

Pupil’s Activities – The children identify and count numbers from 1 – 40.

4. Teacher guides as he/she asked the children to write numbers from 1 – 40.

Pupil’s Activities – The children write numbers from 1 – 40.

5. Teacher asks the children to identify, count and fill in the missing numbers from 1 – 40 at home.
