LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –
1. produce and spell two to five letter words correctly.
2. identify objects with three to five letter words.
3. use five letter word objects in conversation.
ENTRY BEHAVIOURS
The pupils can identify and pronounce some of the two to five letter words.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Picture books.
2. Objects of three to five letter word objects.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

MAKING SENTENCES WITH TWO TO FIVE LETTER WORDS/OBJECTS

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Displays some real objects or chart showing some objects at home.
3. Lets pupils identify each of the objects by name.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify each of the objects by name.
4. Writes each of object named on the board.
5. Asks pupils to count and group the objects according to their letter words. For example, three, four and five letter words.
Pupil’s Activities – Group the objects according to their letter words.
6. Uses activity 5 to introduce the lesson starting with two letter words.
Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively.
7. Guides pupils to pronounce and spell two to five letter words correctly.
8. Guides pupils to pronounce and spell three to five letter word objects correctly.
Pupil’s Activities – Spell and pronounce two to five letter words and objects correctly.
9. Make simple sentences with some of the words and guide pupils to do the same.
