WEEK 9 – THREAT TO SECURITY

MEANING OF THREAT TO SECURITY/SECURITY THREAT

A threat to security/security threat is anything that can cause harm, danger, or risk to people, property, or the community. It is something that can make people unsafe.

Threats can be natural, human-made, or technological.

 

COMMON SECURITY THREATS

1. Theft or Burglary – Stealing of property from homes, schools, or communities. For example: Someone breaking into a house to steal valuables.

2. Fire – Fires can destroy property and harm lives. For example: A kitchen fire spreading to the house.
